Our Mission Statement
Emeritus Students Union is an independent, member-supported organization of students attending Emeritus College, a program of Santa Monica College.  Its mission is to give the college's 3,400 students a voice in affairs affecting the college and to keep its members informed of all significant events that impact on their educational experience.

The aims and purpose of ESU are to:

• maintain the current established programs at Emeritus College;
  
• promote students' rights and provide effective representation of their interests and concerns;
  
• promote a positive public image of the college;
  
• ensure good communication between students, faculty, administration and the community;
  
• inform students of available resources and services;
  
• represent the best interests of the students of Emeritus College.
